Mark Marturello
Award-winning Illustrator based in Iowa
I was just a kid growing up on the south side of Des Moines who loved to draw.Inspired by my father who would sit down with me at the kitchen table and draw the comics we saw in The Des Moines Register. That dream that continued for 30 years.
My work is not only seen in The Register but in other Gannett papers across the country. I have illustrated the past five RAGBRAI bicycle posters, seven total. I have done freelance illustration with numerous clients including many Meredith Publishing magazines. I have illustrated two children’s books, “Amazon Pajamas” and “Paisley Poof” along with many book cover and inside illustrations.
